Zion's High School Youth Ministry,
"Kairos"* - from 5:30-6:15pm every Wednesday. A student led small group based on spiritual accountability ...everyone is welcome to come and explore the meaning of faith, and the dynamics of having a relationship with God.
*
Kairos is a greek word meaning "time" as in an event that 'happens' (rather than "chronos" aka: chronological time)
'MYF' meets every Wednesday evening beginning at 6:00pm for an evening of food, fun, and faith.
Throughout the school year we gather together to serve our community, to learn how to challenge each other to walk in our faith, and to enjoy each other's company.
Fourth Wednesday: LIFE PLANNING!
On the fourth Wednesday at 7pm each month we come together for Life Planning, a mentoring program that pairs students with adult advocates from the congregation. The student and adult meet monthly in the Life Planning session to discuss important life topics, serve together, and have fun.
Life Planning is a successful ministry in helping students develop relationships with adults other than parents.
WHAT WE LEARNED IN SAN JOSE:
"I am broken."
"I am not an accident, God made me for a reason."
"Us & Them: How we look at people who are different."
"I should be the same person in church as I am out of church."
"You never know what the person beside you is going through."
"You don't have to feel God to be used by God."
"It's not about me, but about God's bigger picture."
"I'd like to 'Live the Call,' but nobody said HOW"

KimB and Jessanna, eating dirt with little sleep.
The Bill and Artie Show: Never a Dull Moment.
Two of our four WONDERFUL sponsors!
Convention Homing Devices, a.k.a. the cell phone, essential to youth leaders sanity.
Bonty, a.k.a. Darin Bontrager, stalking pigeons. (They had it coming.)
Waiting on the train to San Fransisco!
Jacob was right, shirts on the head did help with the hot, hot, sun, but it didn't help give the bus drivers directions to where we were going!
Kathy & Bill wiped out, before we even left OHIO!
Jen & Laura P. on the train
