Zion's High School Youth Ministry,

'MYF'
meets every Wednesday evening beginning at 6:00pm for an evening of food, fun, and faith.

Throughout the school year we gather together to serve our community, to learn how to challenge each other to walk in our faith, and to enjoy each other's company.

Fourth Wednesday: LIFE PLANNING!

On the fourth Wednesday at 7pm each month we come together for Life Planning, a mentoring program that pairs students with adult advocates from the congregation. The student and adult meet monthly in the Life Planning session to discuss important life topics, serve together, and have fun.

Life Planning is a successful ministry in helping students develop relationships with adults other than parents.

** In the event the fourth Wednesday lands on a holiday please check the church calendar for the alternative Wednesday.

Thursday Dinner*
By Hannah Short

They said, “There’s something special for dinner Thursday night.”
But when the day came, it gave us a fright.
We never expected our dinner to be A dollar bill each-
one for you, one for me.
We needed to ignore sweet luxury’s pull
With stomachs very empty but minds so full.
This reminds me of a song from a different time
Called “Brother, can you spare a dime?”

Many of God’s children live like this every day
So we need to take the time to stop and think and pray: “Lord, we have much we don’t deserve this life.
Why is it that others must live with the strife?
Now that we know at least a little how it feels,
Help us to remember at each of our meals.
As we sit down to dine
Remind us not to whine.
We’re thankful for all that we have in You.”
